March 7-30, 2025 at Lightforms Art Center• 743 Columbia St, Hudson, NY 12534
Lightforms Art Center presents Apocalyptic Revelations, a solo exhibition by Laura Summer, on view from March 7 - 30, 2025. The exhibition includes a series of ink drawings as well as oil and cold wax paintings, each corresponding to a chapter from the Revelation to John. Also known as The Book of Revelation or The Book of the Apocalypse, it is the last book of the New Testament of the Bible.
Laura Summer writes, “I am a painter, and, therefore, I really only know things through drawing and painting. In 2023-24, I worked with the Apocalypse…It is a complex and difficult text to come into relationship with, but it is a deep experience to know it well.”
