Regular Study in Hillsdale

Tuesday Evening Study will resume in September.

PARENTS' SUPPORT GROUP

We seek to help support all to go forth with strength, confidence and balance as parents and teachers. The world needs people who have developed reverence, wonder, respect, and devotion in childhood.

Join us on the 2nd Wednesday of each month

During  a portion of our time together we will discuss specifically identified parenting topics which may include the sacraments and rituals available for children from The Christian Community and/or meeting children’s religious needs in today’s world.
We will also have open time to talk about anything that may exist within people's hearts and minds regarding children.

Seminary Offerings

We are delighted to announce this year’s Distance Learning Program courses with Rev. Patrick Kennedy entitled

Conscious of Our Humanity: A Course in Christ-Discipleship.

Apply Now to the Distance Learning Program Starting September 30, 2025!

This program is offered by the Seminary of The Christian Community as a first step for those discerning a call to priesthood—a call that is, at its heart, a call to become fully human in the image of God. The path to priesthood is not an ascent to status, but a descent into service. It is a deepening of our capacity to love, to stand with others, and to bring the healing presence of Christ into the world.

At the same time, this program also welcomes all who long to grow in their Christian vocation—who sense they are being sent by God into the world to do good, to bless, to serve. Whether in the priesthood or in daily life, the path of discipleship invites us into transformation. It is not a static identity but a living, growing reality.

To walk this path, we need to ask once more:

What does it mean to be human—made in the image of God?

To recover an authentic religious life something other than relying on outer authorities—whether scripture, priest, or teacher. We are called to seek direct experiences, to seek the divine ourselves, entering into relationship with God in a way that shapes not only what we know but who we are.

This path leads us into the radical transformation of discipleship—not as a static label but as a living reality. In following Christ, we learn to become vessels of his love: for our families, our communities, the earth beneath our feet, and the stars above our heads.

“Conscious of our humanity, we feel the Divine…”

— from the beginning of ‘Trinity Epistle’ in The Christian Community’s Eucharist service, The Consecration of the Human Being.

This year, the seminary will offer two sections of the course to make it easier for participants around the world to gather and learn together:

  • A morning class designed to accommodate students in Europe and beyond at 11:00 am ET.

  • An evening class for those in North America and other time zones at 7:00 pm ET.

Both courses will take place on Tuesdays and will meet weekly via Zoom for an hour and a half.

Each section can accommodate twelve students and spaces are currently open in both sections.

You’ll find more details below, including the course title, start date, format, and application link.

For those who wish to participate in a lighter way, registration for the “Presentation Only” (Audit) option will open soon. Students auditing the course will only attend the presentation section.

It is a joy and privilege to share this work, and we look forward to all that may grow from it.
